Looking back at a couple newsworthy tidbits you may have missed this week:
Google’s Nexus About-Face
You mean, Google actually failed at something?
Google announced in a blog post this week that the original strategy for Nexus One, which launched in January, had, well, failed. “As with every innovation, some parts worked better than others. So today we’re announcing the following changes…” said Google’s Andy Rubin, VP of engineering.
Google’s new strategy for the device includes more retail availability and increased viewing functionality from its web store.
What do you think of the changes?

One of the most innovative and engaging brand contests incorporating multiple social media platforms is the Jimmy Choo “CatchaChoo” competition (it’s even fun to say).
The race, which incorporates a series of clues left on social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and foursquare.com, began on April 19 and offers contestants the chance to keep a free pare of shoes once paraded by celebrities—but only if contestants can figure out where the “Choos” are hidden.
Shoe lovers, stay connected: after a successful first run in London, CatchaChoo may be coming to a major city near you.
